greetings, i recently purchased an 89 convertible without boot panels. the previous owner had somehow misplaced them during a move. anyway, i'm now on a hunt to replace them and have seemingly run into a fair amout of resistance. it appears that the dealer is looking for $2000+. i'm hoping to pay a bit less than that to say the least. in case your wondering the boot panels are those strange plastic pieces that cover the top while it is stored in the down position. i suppose the main use is for parade-like events etc. where you might have passengers sitting up towards the back, generally making fools of themselves. at this time, i do not have a need to make fools of anyone but could see some future potential for such a feature if the price were not sooo high. seems to me that there must be at least one person out there that has a set of these boot panels, sitting around it their basement/garage, with absolutely no use for them what so ever. if you are this person, PLEASE get in touch with me! if you are someone else who may know of a place to obtain such accessories, please email me. marknopsamatible.com thanks, ~ms
