: everything is fine.. On occasion, the lights shut off when turning hight : beams down to low, if and only if the fog lights are also on.. ????!!!!! : Help!!! Join the crowd. You MIGHT try this - you have little to lose since you face a $85-105 parts bill. Open the plastic relay box under the hood near the front. There are 2 headlight relays there, big rectangular one and square one. The big one controls the high beams. You could remove it, turn it over, pry the cover off, and clean the contacts. That will restore performance for a few months. I am the original poster of this thread. What we need to demand of Saab is free replacements. There is no excuse for this vital component to be failing, and for the replacement to be so outrageously expensive. It is literally a $10-20 part at most. We need to hear from others like you to determine how serious this problem is. Possibly we could get Saab to do something more reasonable - before reports are filed with whatever government agency regulates auto safety. I can't think of a more serious problem (other than brake failures) which deserve a general recall, and I don't think they want that. Rick
