Hi Rich, I work at a multi-line dealer in Frederick, MD on Saab, Mazda, and VW. The noise your are hearing is from the top windshield moulding. Air gets under it at highway speeds causing it to vibrate and make the sound. I will bet that if you push outward on the top of the windshield when the noise is occuring, it will go away. I have been removing the moulding and securing it with caulk, but the does not seem to be a permenant fix on some of the cars. I have been on vacation for the last two days. Today when I got in, there was a TSB on this very problem. Saab wants us to use a double-sided tape on the moulding. I orderd two kits (each kit does two cars). I will get it in next week on the stock order. I am hoping this will work as I am getting tried of fixing the same problem. It is frustrating to have such a bothersome problem on an otherwise great car. Hope this helps, Steve Crowe, ASE CMAT/L1, Saab Qualified Tech, Mazda Senior Tech sjcrowenopsams.com On Thu, 28 Aug 1997 08:13:32 -0600, rfphotognopsamatlantic.net wrote: >Have a new 97 Saab 900s with 6000mi. on it and recently had a high pitched >whine of a noise coming from the dash.
