It's cheap and easy (kinda like me > after > a few drinks)-Anthony Anthony, If the CTS was out of spec then I would certainly replace it. However, if you carefully read my posting you will see that is not the issue. The issue is inadquate cold start enrichment on a few cars. This is simply a fix that gets the car over the cold start "hump". The CTS is a NTC resistor, what I am doing is "padding" a correctly reading CTS to obtain slightly additional cold start enrichment. The NTC that I use is out of the circuit within 30-45 seconds after warm-up. This procedure does not apply to all cars, only the select few that seem to suffer from this problem. This also is not a cure-all for cars that have other problems, and it should not be used to compensate for vaccum leaks, a defective air mass sensor, or other issues. The cars that this fix applies too were very early LH Jetronic cars in which the ECU mapping simply was not adquate. Early mapping did not take into account wear, engine differences, differences in altitude and fuel types which occur among vehicles. As such a select few cars simply could not be "fixed" by convential means as there was nothing "wrong" with them. Hope this explains the issue. -- \\"""// (o o) +---------------------oOO--(_)--OOo-------------------------+ : Bruce J.
