Here's the update------------- I took the car to the dealer, and using the diagnostic tool the mechanic disabled the DRLs. As I drove away, I noticed the instrument lights were on, so I stopped and checked. The parking lights and "city lights" inside the headlights were on. I went back, and the mechanic explained the headlights could be disabled, but the parking and city lights could not. I asked him about pulling the fuse, and he said it wouldn't help. Apparently the system changed from 96 to 97. Possibly federal law mandates this, but I would still like to try and turn all the lights off. Some cars (VW in particular) have a light switch which can be replaced with a European version. Any help would be appreciated. Wayne Darinzo darinzonopsamnet
