Subject: Rare 67 96?

Hi, I own a 1967 SAAB 96, I hear it may be an unusually rare car. If anyone can shed some light on this I would appreciate it. Email - Sonett1974nopsamcom This car has a Saxomat clutch setup that was removed before I owned it, it also had a 3-2stroke from the factory (1500 then 1700 V-4) according to the placement of the bar in the top of the engine compartment. It carries what appear to be factory V4 badges Monte Carlo like trim with the fuel cap location not as low as the Sedan and not as high as the Monte Carlo. It has disk brakes in the front, amber tail lights, steering wheel and shifter lock, an extra position (passing lights) on the turn signal lever, a "foot rest" peg for the gas pedal foot (you just tilt your foot to go faster or slower), and a VERY fast steering rack. There may be more things I have forgoten about. Is this a rare 96 or typical? I was also told of a trailer made by saab that is the rear 1/2 of a 96 that used a boot to connect to the back of the car (96). I quess you sleep in the car and crawl to the trailer where you can cook, camp, etc.. Was the person telling me they only bought the car and not the trailer at an auto auction pulling my leg? Thanks for your time, Ray Sonett1974nopsamcom
