Hi all: I am trying to sell my '88 900 Turbo. It's a black 3-door, 5-speed. It has 130,000 miles. I am the third owner; the first owned the car for one year, the second owner until last August. I have owned the car for one month. The interior is, of course, leather - it is tan and in excellent condition. Why am I selling it? Because my mechanic has put his convertible up for sale, and I have fallen in love with it. I hate the fact that I finally found a gorgeous black 3-door only to sell it, but I can't afford to have four Saabs... ;) Besides, there's no room in the garage as it is! Before I bought the car, the previous owner had the transmission rebuilt (2 years ago), new Michelin Energy MXV4 tires (December '96), and a new water pump (July '97) installed. When I bought the car, I had *everything* overhauled, including: New a/c compressor & hoses New power steering rack New turbo pressure transducer New belts & hoses New engine mounts New passenger door lock motor New engine & transmission seals Idle control valve serviced I have also added: Pioneer Premier KEH-P7400 deck Pioneer DEQ-7200 equalizer/DSP Pioneer 6-disc changer Replaced automatic seatbelts with standard manual ones New dashboard (the old one was cracked) What needs to be done: When I replaced the passive seatbelts, a gap in the headliner was left behind. The liner itself is in excellent condition, it just doesn't fit correctly now. I have not selected amps or speakers for the stereo system, but when I pulled out the interior for a carpet & leather cleaning, I went ahead and ran *all* the wiring for the system so it would be done right - under carpet, inline with the car's wiring harness, powered directly from the battery for optimum performance. There is nothing on this car that is sub-standard, and I was fully prepared to drive this thing another 130,000 miles, but I don't have the heart to sell of any of my old friends... If you or someone you know lives in Northern California and is looking for a really nice Saab, let me know. I am asking $7000 for the car as is, but will pull out the head unit & equalizer (I'll leave the changer) for $6400. As a note, I have quotes from three local places who will do the headliner for at/around $250. You can call me at home at (916)362-8705, or e-mail me... I will say in advance I really don't have room to negotiate, since I'm just trying to get my investment out of the car... I would very much like to see this car go to a good home... Thanks, -Justin
