About Two and half years ago I purchased a Saab 9000 S model Engine size 2.3cc and about Two months ago after driving for about 2 miles my ignition system failed, but with luck my vehicle broke down near a garage which I manage to get the car towed their. They informed me that the entire ignition system needed to be replaced, which in the end cost me £414.00 pounds sterling. My query is should it be normal for this electronic Ignition system to have failed so early in its life seeing the Saab is only Seven years old and has 85,000 miles on the clock. Has any one got any advice on this matter and also as to what measurers I can take in the future to avoid this happening again while I am driving.
