The air filter on the 8v isn't too hard, just remove the hose and the six screws, and as far as the service interval saab recommends at 30k intervals not 10. The clunk is the result of a pin in the calipers that is deformed. Any Saab dealer ought to have these in stock and a simple replacement will eliminate the problem.
