With a torquey turbo motor, Z-rated tires, more rear passenger room than the Integra or Golf, more upscale interior, and unique Saab ergonomics its an interesting alternative to the sterile GS-R and aging Golf. Reliability wasn't so hot for the first year of the redesigned 900 so be sure the one you buy has complete service records. You also owe it to yourself to drive the Audi A4Q 1.8T, even if it isn't a hatchback.
