Subject: 900 Turbo in UK

Hi David I think that getting a 900T is a pretty excellent way to lose your licence!! I have a LPT 9000 and last year when it was in the garage they gave me a 900 Turbo for about a week whilst they screwed around with my car. It's a little like having the speedo linked directly to the gas pedal. I had previously used a 175BHP version of the 9000 Turbo (1985) and I had thought it was hot stuff; but this notion was revised after the Week Of The 900. I think it's possible to put too much importance on having a SAAB history with the car. My dealer has just departed from the list of SAAB-franchised dealers and I would far rather he looked after my car than the flash outfits that SAAB seems to think all its customers want to use. Don't let salesmen in suits influence you too much. Join the SAAB owners club. Their magazine is a terrific source of info (and cars for sale, too) Take it easy. Ian.
