Subject: Re: Heated driver-seat

Tore Wangsfjord (wangsfjonopsamne.no) said something like: : The heat in my driver-seat is gone. The car is a 1995 900 SE. I have checked : it and find that there is power all the way to the element, so its probably : the element which is f**ked. Does anybody know if this is repairable or if : you have to buy a new one?? The Saab Network web page (http://www.warp.org/tsn.html) has a fairly comprehensive FAQ on this very subject. Seems the wires in the element, while robust, will break if a heavy object presses on the seat without spreading out; iow, my 200+ lbs are spread pretty evenly by my enormous ass, but if I were to kneel on the seat, the isolated stress would be too much for the wires. There are instructions as to how to diagnose, and to some degree, repair the elements. -- > B E N T L E Y < bentleynopsamss.digex.netnopsamrpromo.com [remove nopsamrpromo.com for correspondence]
