Subject: Rear caliper pistons From: JK'97 <jkannnopsamk.de> Date: Sat, Dec 27, 1997 9:33 AM Message-id: <34A53BD1.D7A31227nopsamk.de> Now it's time to post the first question in here. Today I tried the rear brake pads on my '90 900i16. Though the dealer told me that there's no special trick required I wasn't able to push the caliper pistons back. They didn't move the tiniest bit. My choices are the following: 1.) Pistons are stuck due to corrosion 2.) There's something special about the calipers (hell, there's ALWAYS a special with this damned car!!!!!!) Please let me know if someone has the answer. there is a toothed roller hidden under a bolt on the rear caliper to reset the pistons and handbrake, you'll need an allen wrench to turn it back.
