Well you might just be unlucky, but assuming you just bought the car in the last year, you bought a car that is nearly 7 years old. Things go on old cars and need fixing or replacing. In addition, many times when people sell cars this old (instead of every two-three years to get a newer model) it is because the owner started to notice things starting to go, and so passed it on to someone else (that being you) to deal with. Cars are like any other item, sometimes you get a lemon, sometimes you don't. Good luck though! I hope you are nearing the end of your repairs for a while and you begin to enjoy driving the car.
