Subject: Re: Constructive Criticism 95 900 SE

I have a 95 900 SE Turbo and I've been happy with it. In 55K I've had no real problems (a rattle or two, had to replace flexible exhaust section after hitting a pothole). It still runs fine, accelerates strongly, and drives smoothly at highway speed. The suspension and steering still feel as tight as when it was new. I've had no unscheduled service except for the throttle bushing recall. There are, of course, some things that could be improved: - turbo lag is noticable. You have to keep the revs up when pulling from a stop or the car can bog down (and you find someone in a Subaru pulling away). Too much, though, and you simply spin the tires. - brakes. Certainly adequate, but should be stronger in a performance car. - steering wheel. I wish it telescoped out further. - clutch. I think its fine, but my wife complained that the clutch is too heavy. - visibility. The rear of the car is quite high, and the pillars are fairly wide. - seats. The seats are very comfortable, but not very supportive during cornering. I think that $20K is a bit much, unless it has very low miles. I need a 4 door car now so I've been looking at trading my 900 in. Dealers only seem to be willing to pay $14K here in MA. In fact, that's probably my biggest disappointment with the car--depreciation much higher then the Honda or Toyota I previously owned. -Mike In article <35015DD0.6803nopsam.net>, Mark <phpnopsam.net> wrote: >I've got my eye on a 1995 900 SE and I've heard a few negative comments.
