When you recycle the ignition, it "resets a relay. Your problem sounds similar to the one I had with my '92 9000 CD Turbo. It was the relay for the compressor fan, which wouldn't turn off and eventually went through a battery or two. There is no "check" procedure for the relays.... they either work or don't. It cost about $30 and, though not difficult to change, it is not very convienient to get to, (behind the firewall in front of the glovebox). Howard
