When you try to wipe off the "fog" does it kind of smear, leave smudges on the window? If so, it's most likely a leaky heater core as someone suggested. The radiator fluid travels through the heater core and when it leaks, it drips radiator fluid into the box the air flows through. That steaming grease then gets spread nicely over your window. I've had it happen to two of my cars. It's not as bad as it sounds. The heater core is one part. It looks like a miniature radiator. The hardest part really is getting to it in most cars.
