Alin: Without knowing what the necessary repairs are, we can't tell whether £1000 is expensive or cheap. What do you mean by 'independent Saab garage'? If it's independent how can it be a Saab garage? You could join the Saab Owners Club. Some Saab dealers give members discounts on parts and repairs (though that should not be your main reason for joining). You can exchange ideas and advice with other members. Please tell us what needs doing to the car and I expect people will let you know if the price is reasonable. If you are not happy owning a Saab perhaps you should change to another make of car.
