Here's one for your "Famous Saab Quotes", Justin ( http://csrtech.sac.bfp.net/saabweb/saabquotes.htm ): On 28-JAN-1998, Norway's leading newpaper, Aftenposten, had an article titled "Decade of the designers", describing an exhibition of Norwegian Design (Form98). Chairman of the jury is Einar Hareide. In this article, Einar Hareide is quoted as follows (my translation): "Traditional car estetique can be perceived as rather vulgar and flashy. We in Saab know that our customer segment consists of people with an education well above average. They are 10% more intelligent than the average BMW owner, and normal status symbols don't mean much to them" There it is! Einar H (the H is _not_ for Hareide.... :-)
