My 87 9000S does the same thing. The picture is called a pictogram. Mine comes on when I hit my brakes, and when I use the left turn signal. It should disappear when your headlights are on. It is a wiring problem and Saab has a fix. It costs about $200. If you go to the www.nospam website and check the TSBs (technical service bulletins) it is listed. According to my friend, who owns an 87 9000T, the fix is installed behind the fuse box. The kit costs about $80. You are not alone. Ken Washington 87 9000S
