(i kinda feel like geordi LaForge) > (preform a level 2 diagnostic on that sensor array)... But you are swapping an h-block 16v engine into a car that had a b-block 8v engine... the h and the b are VERY different. All Saabs after 1982 used the h-block, 16v and 8v engines alike... There might be some subtle differences, but both post-1982 8v and all 16v engines share the same block... At least, according to Saab they do... Take a look at engine codes... B201 is an h-block 8v engine and B202 is an h-block 16v engine... they got the same block, different head. As for the "sensors" - I don't know what you're referring to. There is a mass airflow sensor (or air mass meter), an O2 sensor, and a knock sensor. The fuel injection system relies on the MAF sensor and the O2 sensor, but only the APC system in turbocharged cars give a rat's ass about the knock sensor... I am not sure what other sensors are even in the car... you got a coolant temp sensor, I suppose... All 8v engines AFAIK use Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, which is a CIS system... all 16v engines use Bosch LH Jetronic injection, which is a pulsed system. But, a 16v engine will run quite happily using the CIS system on an earlier car. Some modification is necessary to mounting hardware, but other than that.... -Justin
