I used Simple Green to clean the engine on my 87 9000S. I let the engine warm very briefly, sprayed the engine down with the Simple Green and waited about 10 minutes. You may need a brush for heavy areas. Used a regular hose, cold water and nozzle wash it down. Works like a charm. I wrapped the distributor in a piece of Saran Wrap and never hit that directly with the hose. Once you are done drive it dry. Ken Washington 87 9000S
