Subject: Re: SAAB 9000 CD 1992: where is gas filter located?

Walt, With all due respect, all 9000 models do not have the fuel filter located in the rear adjacent to the fuel tank. The earlier models 86, 87 and 88 with the B202 engine have the fuel filter in the engine compartment. The change was made when Saab went to the 2.3 L engine, still using the LH-Jetronic or Trionic systems. I am looking at section 1, page 18 of the Haynes Manual I just got last week. The fuel filter has a recommended change interval of 96,000 miles. Ken Washington 87 9000S
