I don't think that's the answer on depreciation because it's the same in Sweden where it's the third biggest make of cars on the roads. The company Saab has had a lot of financial troubles and still have. I think that the negative newsflow around Saab has a great deal with the depreciation to do. Wether it's justifiable or not it will give a bad ring in the broad publics ear. Furthermore when the new 900 of 93 went on the market there where big problems with the overall quality and that also contributed to the value problem. But still there absolutely nothing wrong with the Saab quality they are at least as good as any german quality car. As someone already mentioned take advantage of the depreciation instead and by a great but cheap car. If more people would do that the second hand value would ofcourse rise again.
