I did this myself in my own 1990 900 LPT. All wires were allready in the car so it was pretty much "plug-and-play". So the job is not very specialised except for filling the system with gas(?). 2nd hand parts could be an option but old AC systems are often subject to major repairs so think twice and do not pay too much for the parts.
