What risk are you talking about -- risk of speeding tickets or risk of engine life? ;-) The 2.0 litre turbo is Saab's best-developed and longest-lived engine. It should be your first choice. I had a '91 900S Convertible with an automatic. DON'T get that combination -- it is SSLLOOWW!!! A 5-speed Turbo will be most fun, but an auto with the turbo is a reasonable 2nd choice. I have no experience with the 5-speed S, but suspect it would be reasonably quick. --------------------- John R.
