Every time he takes it in they try and soak him for $800-$1000 outside of warranty, assuming that anyone who buys a BMW understands this is the price of admission to their club. He also has an old Corolla wagon with 120,000 miles on it and doesn't like the wallet sapping with the Beemer. I've actually spent very little out of pocket on servicing my 900SE. Glenn
