In 1991 they did away with the chrome trim on both S and base (900 badge only) models. 1991 was also the last year for base model 900s - and if I'm not mistaken they actually stopped production of base models in 1990, selling only what they had leftover in 1991. So, your car could be a base 900 with a sunroof, since 1991 and later all Saabs had sunroofs as optional equipment. As for the little trim bits, the side airvent covers were available as a dealer installed option, as was the reflector strip at the back end (called a decor panel). I believe both the air outlet covers and the decor strip were cancelled in 1990 as well, so that's why you cannot find them in accessory catalogs - the catalog I have from 1988 and 1989 lists them both... Regardless, calling Saab USA directly and giving them your VIN number will allow them to tell you what trim level yours was when it left the factory... Good luck... -Justin
