Before its demise, my 83 900T did the same thing. The odometer died in stages. One thing I was told contributed to it was resetting the trip meter while moving. Supposedly it does a job on the gears inside. As far as nickel-dime repairs. Don't forget your Saab is over 14 years old. Whether you own an old Saab or an old Chevy, you will have to fix things. The smart thing is find out what needs to be done and do it. Preventive maintenance helps a lot. It is all relative. If you checkout the www.saabnet.com Bulletin Board, you will find out that owners with some newer Saabs have more problems than you. Ken Washington 87 9000S 87 900S 83 900T PS. My 9000 goes in the shop for a new crankshaft pulley. I wish it was just an odometer.
