My 1994 900S (V6) has been making a rattling noise from what sounds like the left rear wheel 'area'. I've spent a lot of time under the car checking things out and couldn't find anything. Violently shaking and banging the exhaust cans doesn't reveal anything. I thought it might be the parking brake cable bouncing off the rear muffler heat shield, but that wasn't it. It only makes the noise on uneven surfaces (especially gravel roads). Doesn't matter if I'm going left, right or straight ahead. It occurs at any speed, from barely rolling in neutral to the point where I can't hear anymore from windnoise with my head out the window. The noise is constant (not affected by speed). Driving with the parking brake slightly pulled doesn't affect anything. The noise is a metallic rattle/clanging/pinging thing. It's not particularly loud (can't hear with the windows up) but people outside the car sure notice :-( . It's been doing it for a while, but it seemed to be worse this morning, so I thought I'd see if any one had any ideas. Thanks, E.
