Diane, I have an 87 9000S. The symptoms you describe are definitely a fuel problem. Your fuel filter, if not under the hood behind the battery, is located in the rear on the passenger's side next to the fuel tank. There may be a plastic cover over it. Check your fuses to make sure the fuel pump is working. If the fuses are okay, check to see if your 9000 has a fuel pump relay. My 83 900T did that. The relay went out and the car would not start. Last but not least your fuel pump could be bad. Check the simple stuff first. The solution may not be difficult or expensive. Ken Washington 87 9000S Upper Marlboro, MD
