It should have read oil gland bolt. In other words, an oil drain plug. My father who I think would agree with me on this one, would have yelled it me for describing said part as a mere bolt. If you look at one, it is a 13mm bolt with a "gland" ; or what appears as a washer welded and integral to the bolt head. The "gland" is intended to provide an oversize and large mating surface between the bolt and the socket, and prevent the bolt from backing off during vibration. Of course I could be totally full of stuff by describing the oil drain plug in this way. It seems to me to be a bolt, and a glanded one at that. I apoligize for any errors in spelling. Now could you help me in getting the darn thing off the car and replace it with a new one? Best, Bill
