I currently own a 1990 Saab 900 and have been shopping for a car for my wife. We considered Saab, but decided that "value pricing" exists so the dealers can maintain fat profit margins. I wanted to buy a Saab, in spite of the high repair bills and poor reliability, but bought a "non-value priced" Volvo S70 instead. The S70 was $26,300 for a base model with the winter package and a manual transmission. And the year-end lease promotion gave me a 39 month lease with the first payment waived and a 4.5% APR. Much cheaper than a 9-5 and a comparable car. Too bad, Saab. You are loosing your existing customers. Get real on pricing!
