I bought mine and had to have the C/V Joints replaced, and the front brake rotors done - and w/in a year had to have a fuel pump and power steering pump done also. You think I'm talking about 2.5 million dollars - but I found a Saab Mechanic (privateer) and got the parts from 1.800.700.VOLVO, and it was cheap. I paid around US$3,000 fro it over a yaer ago (with 96k miles) and Love it. I also had to recently have the computer thing replaced, but another "post-er" here hooked me up. IT CAN BE DONE! Saabs ain't cheap, but with a parts source AND a good "real life" mechanic (re:Non-Saab Dealership - Some guy named Lars in a lab coat getting around $85.00 an hour...) - you can have a KILLER RIDE for VERY reasonable cash. Get it checked out and if it is kosher - GO FOR IT! the Kevinator Jack Walsh wrote: > I'm looking at buying a 89 Saab 900 (16 valve).
