Subject: Re: Saab 9-3 SE High Output Turbo

So the rumor is true about the 2.3 Liter Engine being put in the 9-3? I can wait. It sounded like they were taking the 2.3 from the old 9000 Turbo and sticking it in the 9-3. That alone would be 225 HP. But I don't really want it if it's in the 5-door or convertible. 3-door only. Unfortunately, the car will probably increase in cost up to near the BMW M3 Coupe. No sports cars that I consider desirable left under $35K or so. The Prelude is, I think a fine car. I can't think of much else out there. The Saab 900 I now own is a fine car, very practical, fast, reasonably reliable, a bit flakey on the handling side maybe, not good in ice/snow but I use the stock tires.
