Subject: Re: Horsepower or Torque? Which is more significant?

It depends a bit on where your driving is mostly done. I live in a city with a lot of hills, and torque matters much more to me than power, as it gives me a good pull-away on the hills without always changing down. However, my Australian friends often prefer power, because so much of their driving is long distances over relatively easy terrain. You need to take a reasonable test drive in the Saab. I recommend that you make sure that you try out some hill work, and some open highway work. My bet is that you will like it a lot. Bill Douglas S.
