Subject: Re: A/C Blower Motor Needs to be Smacked

This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_01BDEB38.22FF6220 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit I've a similar problem. The Haynes manual may detail how to remove the blower motor for your car. It may look complex, but it aint. My problem is Haynes hs it wrong for my model to take the blower motor out. It refers to clips or screws inside the false bulkhead - can't find any. Blower unit appears to be attached to aircon ducting inside the vehicle and I'm reluctant to tig the stuff out. Once out - no problems. This appears to be a simple unit, probably Boge. Two things happen - one the bearing runs dry. Two the commutator clogs up with carbon from the brushes. Clean the com. with Isopropanol or another alchohol _ take care of your skin/eyes and this stuff is highly flamable. Lubricate the bearing - I find a wash in WD40 and then a mix of about 3 parts WD 40 to 1 part motorcycle chain grease works well. I repaired 4 different Citroens with the same problem. If only I could get the damned thing out of my beloved 87 SAAB Turbo with ACC! ------=_NextPart_000_01BDEB38.22FF6220 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

<BODY bgcolor=3D"#FFFFFF">
<font size=3D2 = color=3D"#000000" face=3D"Arial">

I've a similar problem.
