Subject: Re: Are oil additives bad for your Saab?

Damon, I have been using Militec-1 in my Saabs since January 94. I had the misfortune of trying Slick 50 in my 83 900T in Oct. 93. It was put in with an oil and filter change at 195,234 miles. Within 2000 miles I was looking for a replacement engine. At the D.C. Car Show I saw the demonstration on Militec-1. I read the test data and who was using it. Since it had no PTFE in it I decided to give it a try. I have been using it ever since. I put it in the crankcase, power steering, transmission and my A/C compressor. The stuff works. In my 83 900T and 87 900S 5 spds, once the transmissions were treated, on the nect oil change there was little or no metal particles on the magnetic drain plug. This is a synthetic oil based metal conditioner. Go to www.apdinc.com and check out the info on it. I have also started using the GTA Fuel Conditioner. It works very well. All I can say is try it.
