I have found that the more boost you dial in does not actualy give a better performance on a stock engine and inlet it goes like this - yes on a cold day the boost climbs right up to where ever you want it (within limits) this gives a good kick in initial acceleration but this causes the cylinder temperatures to rise very rapidly thus causing knock and the intervention of the APC reducing the pressure to basic - you will certainly notice this as an abrupt drop in power after a few moments the boost will climb again and come back down and so on - not a very satisfying driving experience. If you are into too much boost the over boost swich comes in cutting the fuel pump even more annoying. The thing to do is to increase the boost setting gradually to the point where in all but the most demanding conditions (up hill on a hot day) it will hold the boost without cutting back. John
