My 89 Saab 900T needs a new block and head and I'm considering buying a second hand 900T (with an excellent engine history, from 88) to cannabalise it. However i have a manual box and the incoming car is an auto. Is the block/head a straight swap? Is it possible to replace the whole engine and gearbox from an auto and put it in a car which previously had a manual? Thanks for any help. Paul
