1987 Saab Convertible. Absolutely beautiful. Red exterior with not a single scratch or hint of rust. Tan leather interior. Auto transmission. Always garaged and never driven in winter. Mileage is 110K and, as you probably know, if properly maintained, that does not mean much on a Saab. We bought the car in 1995 and it is in much better shape today than it was then. I have spent over 4500 dollars over the past three years putting it in top shape. We have each R/O, and all the work was done by an independent Saab mechanic outside Boston. The car has, within the past 3 years, received new calipers, rotors, springs, shocks Cooper Sport tires, tune up, complete exhaust including cat converter, trans gaskets, all new belts, water pump, battery, etc. We would absolutely keep the car were it not for the fact that we just had a baby and had to get a four door car (also a Saab). Picture is available at: http://polymer.bu.edu/paul/auto.gif We were originally asking 8,500 (which is retail). But, I would really like to sell it soon (we know own three cars). It could also use new trans lines (around 500 dollars total cost), something which I just have not gotten to. So, I am taking 2000 off the original price... and we are now asking 6500, this is more or less firm. If you are interested, please call Paul or Maureen at 617.323.1162. We are located 10 minutes outside of Boston in West Roxbury.
