The ONLY thing it should be connected to is the APC box, the black box located on the driver's side fenderwall. It's a direct connection, and should have nothing to do with the brake lights. > By plugging the brake light fuse back in, it stopped. It honestly sounds like you may have a problem with your wiring harness somewhere. The things you described shouldn't happen. One thing to check - and please do be very careful - is that none of the wiring in the main fuse panel has gone awry. If you look in the fuse panel, you'll see two screws. Unscrew them, and lift the fuse panel out of the plastic box. It won't move very much, but should move plenty for you to look underneath for toasty or rotted wiring. The next place to look (and a more likely suspect in all honesty) is underneath the center console, where the shifter and handbrake are. The main wiring harness that powers everything in back in under there. What sometimes happens is that your catalytic converter gets old, crusty, and overheats, and melts the wiring harness. It's not pretty, and very expensive. I know one guy who fixed it himself... mustn't have been fun. Good luck... -Justin > > Eff Smith
