I recommend using a good engine flush first (AMSOIL and BG are the best I know or). If you don't, or won't, use a flush, put the synthetic in and plan to change the oil filter at 1000 miles, and probably again at 3000 (or drain the oil then, if it seems dirty). >2) Is it difficult to drain, flush (where appropriate) and fill the power >steering and gearbox (manual) oils, and coolant? No. Power steering--you can suck out and refill the reservoir. Disconnect the return line (low pressure). Start the car and keep pouring fresh into the reservoir until it comes clean. Or, suck out what you can and refill. Drive a bit to mix, and repeat. Should clean up after 3-4 times. I'd do it this way with fresh power steering fluid (to get it clean0, then do it with AMSOIL synthetic ATF 3-4 times. The gear box has a drain plug on the bottom and fill plug on the side. Be sure to take the fill plug out first, to make sure you can. The owner of the shop which works on my Saab and Volvo uses AMSOIL Series 2000 75W-90 in his personal Saab, and won't think of anything else. Many folks like the RedLine, too. Or you cna use a synthetic 10W-30. Dick in Falls Church, VA Using and selling AMSOIL (First in Synthetics) over 21 years
