Some GM cars, such as the Suburban, have an automatic a/c cycle, which causes the a/c to engage automatically every so often. Most cars don't have this "feature" - and with good reason. Nonetheless, it's a good idea to excercise the compressor at least 15 minutes every 30 days - more often is better. -Justin
