I'm not an expert in this, but your shop or garage should be. If they are qualified to work with your car they should have a diagnostic tool (ISAT / TECH2 ) to read out the Diagnostic Trouble Code indicating your problem. There is also a way to ground terminal 1 (grey/red) on a test connection in the engine bay, on the left side, close to the windscreen, only pole 1 and pole 2 out of three are connected. Then the CHECK ENGINE lamp will blink the code (this blinking signal is also available on pole 2 of the test connection) If you get the code maybe some fellow SAABer reading this can give you a hint... There could be a number of reasons for your problem, but it might turn out that there is nothing wrong with your car, just bad fuel (e.g. not adapted to high altitudes or low temperatures).
