With the introduction of the 9-5 in mid 1998, the 1998 9000 CSE was a limited run. It was availabel in either automatic (with the standard CSE engine) or 5-spd which contained the AERO tuned engine. Bith automobiles came with the AEROs exterior styling and a new version of the 16" AERO wheels. I beleived neither had the sports tuned suspension. There were only 1500 made that year. Actually, a couple of months nefore the 9-5 was released, dealers were willing to part with these 98 CSEs for about $10,000 below MSRP.
