Screw reliability. :) Don't back off the boost... the engine can take it, it's the tranny that can't, and boost or no it will die in its own time.... > 4. Lexol is good - I've switched to Zymol because it seems to do a better job cleaning and conditioning. Don't use saddle soap, I've been told, as it isn't compatible with the treatment the leather gets and will damage it. > 6. Are there any HAM Radio operators out there?? How hard is the clock to repair?? You cannot really repair it, but it isn't all that difficult to replace. There are places on the net who will be happy to repair or replace it - one I've found to be very helpful is Palo Alto Speedometer http://www.paspeedo.com > 8. Techron use to be highly rated as the additive of choice - Any others > worth looking at? (I am only using Mobil Super for fuel) Redline makes an additive - I think it's called RE81. I've used that and Techron, with good results. I never use any gas except Chevron, so my usage of store-bought additives is pretty minimal. Someone on this group recommends Berryman's - I've not heard good nor bad about it. > 9. Has anyone mounted a set of 'Driving Beams' above the bumper?? Will it > block too much airflow?? I'm driving 1K+ a week right now with alot of dark > hours. Yes; not unless you live in a very warm area. I have installed PIAA and FET Catz driving beams under the bumper, replacing the foglights, and have been very happy with both. The PIAA 1000s are very small and very bright, and the Catz MSRs look nice and aren't quite as large as stock fogs. A picture of my '90 SPG with the Catz lights is at: http://www.bfp.net/saabweb/mysaabs.htm#90900SPG > 10. A whale tail and aero front end look fantastic - Are there any out > there?? Yes, try http://www.erebunicorp.com > 11. Louvers?????????? Don't know if you can still get them, and I doubt it. A local wrecking yard is your best bet. > 12. What is with these new ION replacement bulbs?? Nothing. Most of them are illegal. The others are annoying. I don't know of any [legal] replacement for 9004 bulbs, though. Happy Saabin'! -Justin
