Subject: Re: 9-3 $$$$$

You really need to decide WHO the competition is before you consider the 9-3 overpriced. The 9-3 kicks the G20's butt all over the place, and is IMHO a BMW 3 series and A4 competitor...albeit slightly quirky. If you look at the performance of the car (faster then the A4 V6 and 328 to 60 MPH, stops faster then a 911) its a steal. The G20 is what they call the Primera in europe and they sell it in lieu if the Altima. The Saab 9-3 has superb brakes, stunning power and is just a thrill to drive, no comparison IMHO. Its also much cheaper then the ES300. Its a bit of a niche product, but if you're comparing it to the G20, then you've got it all wrong. Trust me, your first 2 lane passing experience in a 9-3 will have you grinning from ear to ear. Saab makes probably the best 4 cyl engines in the world, I doubt I'll ever buy a V6 Saab, they're made strictly to cater to the US market. Take a good long test drive in a 9-3, after which I gurantee the G20 will seem pathetic in comparison.
