I am in the throes of pricing a new Saab also and I amusing myself with ways to make the dealer mad at me....I am taking the invoice price for the base car and options, from this, I am deducting "my" price for my trade, the destination charges (which really aren't supposed to be negotiable) and the total amount of the holdback (3% of base MSRP), to the resulting figure, I am adding tax (6% in my state) and that is the number I want to pay for the car. I know damn well this is unreasonable but it gives me an idea of the bottom and then he will give me an idea of the top (I'm sure) then we can get down to business. BTW they call the new color "Tampa Blue" here in Florida. Interesting on the delivery, kind of makes you think they might not be dealing as much now that the supply will be a little but tighter? Maybe it's worthwhile to wait until the new shipments come and see if they are parting with cars at a more favorable price..... Good luck!
