Subject: Re: Amps from generator?

Thanx for your answer John! (ZIP!) >How did you measure the amp output? To be exact. I used a FLUKE Y8100 DC/AC current probe connencted to a fluke multimeter. The probe can measure 200 amps , converted to 2 volts readout on the multimeter. I measured both just after the generator and next to the battery. Readouts: 17 amps with no light and nothing else on. 24 amps with half light. 35 amps with full lights and coupé fan on max. So, that seems to be ok ???? If that is the case I suppose the regulator and generator is working after all? (ZIP!) >How old is the battery? Less than one year. Battery voltage was 12,4 this morning and the car hasn´t been used for two days. The car started OK, and the voltage rised to 13,4. Looks like I have an intermittent problem. The one i like the most. :-) /Martin
